Built on your infrastructure. Owned by you.

Bigger build upfront, smaller ongoing cost, and everything runs inside your own environment — the right call when you have the capability to back it.

Who it suits

  • • You have IT capability — in-house or a solid outsourced partner.
  • • Ownership matters: your systems, your accounts, your data, your control.
  • • A bigger one-off investment sits better than a larger ongoing commitment.

How it works

Skiply designs and builds the solution directly on your infrastructure — your cloud accounts, your subscriptions, your environment — then hands it over properly: documentation, training, named owners. A smaller management retainer keeps it maintained and updated as the platforms underneath it evolve, with your team doing as much or as little as suits.

The honest trade

You get
Full ownership · runs inside your environment under your control · smaller ongoing cost · a clean path to eventually running it yourselves.
You accept
A higher upfront build cost · your infrastructure has to be up to the job · updates and improvements come through the retainer rather than automatically.

In the retainer

Platform updates and compatibility fixes · integration health monitoring · periodic tuning · support direct from the people who built it — sized to how much your own team takes on.

Common questions

What infrastructure do I actually need?

Less than you might think, but it has to be real: cloud accounts (or servers) the solution can run on, someone who can manage access and keep them healthy, and the platform subscriptions the build uses. During design we audit what you have and tell you plainly whether it's enough — if it isn't, Skiply-hosted is usually the cheaper path once you price the gap.

Do I own everything outright?

Yes. The flows, prompts, integrations and documentation are yours, running in your environment under your accounts. Skiply retains nothing you'd need to ask permission for. The management retainer is for keeping it healthy — not a licence fee.

What does the management retainer cover?

Updates when the underlying platforms change (and they change often), monitoring integration health, fixes, and periodic tuning. It's deliberately smaller than the hosted retainer because your infrastructure and usage costs sit with you — it covers the expertise, not the plumbing.

Can we take over maintenance ourselves eventually?

Yes, and the handover is designed for it: documented flows, named owners, and a transition period where your team runs it with Skiply as backup. Plenty of businesses start with a fuller retainer and dial it down as their team gets comfortable.

Why is the upfront cost higher than Skiply-hosted?

Because the build includes things the hosted model absorbs: deploying into your environment, working around your security and access setup, documentation deep enough for handover, and training your people. You're buying ownership — that's real work upfront in exchange for a smaller ongoing cost.
